I wanted to write about the last two days. We didn’t do anything epic, but we had fun together and we love spending time together. Josh has had to work a lot the past few weeks because his boss just had a baby. Anytime we can be together is wonderful. On Wednesday (Hump day), we decided to go to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in American Fork. It is such a beautiful temple and our group didn’t have very many people so it was a little more peaceful. Since it was the 23rd and Josh had to work on the 22nd we decided to go to Cubby’s Chicago Beef (one of our favorites) and celebrate our 10 months of marriage! Woohoo! It’s amazing how our 3 month engagement crawled but these past 10 months have flown. We’re going strong and we want to keep that way.
After the temple we went to DI (Deseret Industries) and looked around for missing pieces of our Halloween costume. My work has a Halloween party so we’re going to dress up this year. We were surprised we found what we’re looking for and on Halloween we’ll post pictures :). Yesterday, we took my Mom to the airport and then Josh went with me to our Relief Society Activity so he could help clean up. I am part of the planning committee and we had a baby shower for the women’s shelter. It was a great idea. I was in charge of the games. We played some games and then my sweet husband helped clean up. He’s so amazing.
We’re also trying to be more active. My work is doing a step competition and we have to do 8,000 steps a day for 3 months. We both have FlexBits and we’ll get reimbursed for them if we complete the goal. Josh is out-walking me by more than double. This challenge has helped me realize how sedentary is my life. Josh fixed the treadmill and so I’m able to catch up on my steps in the evening a lot easier. I also just finished my stomach pain medication (yay), so I’m rearin’ to go.
I’m excited for this weekend. Josh and I are going camping. It will be the first time we’ve gone together. We received a lot of camping equipment for our wedding because we already had a lot of other necessities. We’re excited to finally use it and it will be so pretty to go up in the mountains with the leaves changing!
