“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” -Anne of Green Gables. I have always loved the stories of Anne from Anne of Green Gables. It is one of my favorite movies of all time and I have on my bucket list to visit Prince Edward Island one day. One day :).
October has been great so far! Last Saturday and Sunday was General Conference. We spent the morning sessions at home and then we went to each of our families for the afternoon sessions. I love General Conference. We sustained 3 new apostles and heard hours of wonderful messages. One of my favorite talks was by Elder Maynes about living a Christ-centered life. He offered the challenge of asking Heavenly Father about things we can improve, much like the Rich man in the Bible who asked, “What lack I yet?” We need to have the courage to ask this question and the faith to carry out the answer. Josh and I already have some things we want to work on. I just love General Conference!
Yesterday, we had Family Home Evening (FHE) and Josh was SO sweet and planned the activity and snack. He made cheese fondue for us because we both love the Melting Pot so much. He wanted to recreate the cheese fondue. 🙂 After we ate fondue, we started our arts and crafts’ night. We’re making bleached out t-shirts with different designs. They look really cool and we’re learning how to make them. Thankfully, the internet is great at tutorials. The first shirt we did for me didn’t work out so great (a shirt can only take so much bleach) but we did eventually have success. It was super fun.
