First, I want to say thank you to everyone who made my birthday this past weekend so wonderful! I’m so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.
Josh and I started our co-ed softball season last Friday. We have been very excited to start playing. We lost the game but we both had some good hits. This is Josh’s first time playing slow pitch softball and I haven’t played in 5 years.
On Saturday, we went around to some garage sales and played racquetball with my dad. In the evening, Josh’s family took us out to eat at a Japanese restaurant to celebrate my birthday. It was so nice of them! I ate one of my favorite foods, SUSHI! Sunday was a busy day, Josh was so wonderful and made me a pancake breakfast for my birthday. After church, we went to my parent’s house and had dinner with the missionaries. My dad made me Philly steak sandwiches and a yummy cake. Joseph and Quincy made me a horse pinata. It was super sweet of them. It was quite the workout breaking the thing down. 🙂 After dinner we had dessert with Josh’s family. They are so good to me! They made me a hot fudge chocolate cake and gave me some wonderful gifts. The cake was so delicious! I was very spoiled by everyone!
The birthday celebrations didn’t stop on Sunday. Josh took me out for my birthday dinner to Black Sheep Cafe. It was so sweet of him. It is a really nice restaurant and Josh and I love the food. We have had quite a bit of history as well. 🙂 We had a little miracle earlier that day, April 18 was tax day this year, and it has been pretty crazy at my work. My boss wandered around the offices in the afternoon and he stopped at my desk and handed me a $100 for being at my desk on tax day. I was pretty stunned. It was so generous of them. So we had a free birthday dinner. 🙂 #bigblessings
Birthdays are so great because they remind me of the wonderful people and blessings in my life!
