Memorial Day Adventures Part 1

It’s been a while since we’ve written about our lives. Life is busy, busy. I’m so glad it is summer time and we can play more. In this 3 part series about the adventures of our Memorial Day weekend, we will explore the happenings of the Browns visiting Utah, the benefits of chocolate milk mixed with potato, Josh’s favorite mountain range, and the majestic wonder of Yellowstone.

During Memorial Day weekend, my sister Nikki and her family came to visit Utah. It was so fun to visit and do things with them. They kept us busy shopping, having a cookout, playing ultimate Frisbee, watching sports, playing games, and hitting softballs. It was so fun having the whole family together! Here are some random pictures of their visit.

Ashlyn loved Josh. I think it’s because they are both “red heads”

On Sunday, the Nikki and Mitch (her husband) invited us to go to Idaho Falls and Rexburg. I love that area. They were going to head back on Tuesday, so we decided to go with them and then head to Yellowstone after that. It was an uneventful, peaceful drive. Josh and I beat the Browns and had a picnic by the Idaho Falls temple. We then drove on to Rexburg and visited our good friends David and Bethany. They just had a little girl, named Joy. She is so precious. It was great seeing them. We met back up with the Browns in Idaho Falls and visited and walked around town. We also met up with Mitch’s brother and his girlfriend. The next day we were able to cross something off my bucket list and go to Reed’s Dairy. I have had friends from that area and ever since they told me about their special chocolate milk, I’ve always wanted to go. They make chocolate milk with potatoes. Haha, typical. But it was really, really good. I have an addiction to chocolate milk (and shrimp). Josh thought it was weird, but that’s because he is from Wyoming and has some strange rivalry with Idaho. 🙂 After driving to Rexburg, we parted ways and they saw Mitch’s old haunts and we headed to Yellowstone. Love the Browns!
