A few years ago, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) had an “I’m a Mormon” campaign so people of other faiths could better understand the people who call themselves members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or on a more casual note Mormons. The LDS church leaders asked all the members of the church to create a profile on Mormon.org that shared a little bit about their life and their faith.
Some of the more famous Mormons or Mormons with unique stories, like Brandon Flowers or Lindsey Sterling, were contacted to make little introduction videos you can watch here. When I was in college, I worked part-time at the LDS Church and helped with the Mormon.org website to approve appropriate profiles. It was fun reading through all the stories. Mormons can be great people.
My own story is pretty common and average so I created a profile. A few weeks ago, I was going through some old emails and found the link to my profile and I decided to share it again. The profile is a little outdated and has references my maiden name (Mohrman), but my feelings about my faith are still true and present. I love my faith.
Josh couldn’t remember, but believes he created one as well when he was serving as an LDS missionary in New York, but we couldn’t find it.
We love being Mormons!
