♫ “Match maker, match maker, make me a match…find me a find, catch me a catch…” ♪ Thanks Mr. Fiddler & Co. for such a catchy song. Josh and I decided to play match maker just for fun with my cousin, Celest, and his brother, Eli. ♥ It was nice of Celest and Eli to play along. We went on a double date to the Burger Bar in Roy. What is cool about this place is that it was a place my mom and her family ate at and loved while growing up AND it was featured on Diners, Drive-In, and Dives. Super cool. They are famous for their shakes but they also have really good burgers and fries. Josh and I both tried the Buffalo burgers! Yummy!
After that we went to the Hill Air Force Base Museum. As I was trying to think how this could be fun for 2 people almost 10 years younger than me (I realize I’m not as young and hip as I once was 😦 ) I dug deep into my recreation management major background and I came up with a scavenger hunt race. Fortunately, I was not the first person to think of this and I found a scavenger hunt online for the museum. Josh and I challenged Eli and Celest to a race of who could find the various items in the museum first. Josh and I have been to the museum twice before and Eli and Celest had never been before. You would think it would be a no-brainer about who would win…but sadly Eli and Celest barely beat us by one item. Grrr. Josh wanted to explain and talk about some of the planes and engines we found during the hunt (he’s such a cute, mechanical nerd! :)) We made a bet with them that the winner could film the losers doing a plane dance in front of the planes and then get to post it on Facebook. Yep, Josh and I ran around like sounding and looking like planes…and then Josh crashed :).
Anyways, it was a super fun double date and we really appreciate Eli and Celest coming along. They are great! #familyisthebest #stillhip
